Sword Slayer Gets 30 Years for Brutal Sword Murder

Co-defendant Kiara McCulley, the girlfriend of Isaac Apodaca, learned her sentencing fate after Apodaca was also sentenced for their roles in the brutal sword murder of his former lover, Grace Jennings. Authorities say McCulley was the person who actually killed Jennings, while Apodaca was the mastermind. More of Jennings’s loved ones spoke at McCulley’s sentencing, describing the new life Jennings had just begun before it was cut short. McCulley offered a few words of apology and discussed the dark period she was going through at the time. She was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
