In Sioux Falls, a judge and his son were killed in 1862 — and to this day, nobody can say for certain where they are buried. Judge Joseph B. Amidon and his son William were killed cutting hay on August 25, 1862, and the town was evacuated two days later. The records give three different answers for where they rest, and none of them can be proved. We leave it open.
Where do you think Judge Amidon and William are really buried?
