I just finished reacting to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's "Stop," and this was a Super Thanks request from @RobWoolley669. Rob, thank you so much for your continued support. I really appreciate it. Let's talk about this song. I was impressed. The video was cool, but what really grabbed me was the music. This song has such an edgy, gritty feel to it, and those guitars absolutely drive everything from beginning to end. From what I could tell, the band is a three-piece, but the recording has multiple layers of guitars stacked together. There were definitely at least two guitar parts happening throughout the song, and those layers created this huge wall of sound that kept pushing the song forward. It was fantastic. Then came the guitar solo. One thing I mentioned during the reaction was the use of the wah pedal. It immediately reminded me of a lot of the guitar work that came out of the UK in the late '80s and early '90s. It had that same expressive, almost vocal quality that I really enjoy hearing in rock music. The whole song just feels like it was made for the open road. The video shows the band traveling across the country to play a show, and honestly, it fits the music perfectly. This is exactly the kind of song I'd want playing while I'm driving down the highway with the windows down. Sometimes a song doesn't need to be overly complicated. Sometimes it just needs a great groove, a killer guitar sound, and enough energy to keep you moving. "Stop" checks every one of those boxes. This is an easy thumbs-up from me, and it's definitely going on one of my playlists. I'll also be checking out more from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club because this was a great introduction to the band.
