Did Jesus Expect Christians to Keep the Sabbath? Matthew 24:20

Why would Yeshua tell His future followers to pray that their flight would NOT happen on the Sabbath? In Matthew 24:20, while describing future events and a coming flight from Judea, Yeshua gives an unusually specific instruction: “Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.” That raises a question worth taking seriously: Why would Yeshua tell people facing a future event to plan around the Sabbath if the seventh-day Sabbath was about to become irrelevant?
