✍🏼 Free Spiritual Gifts Assessment https://www.mattdawson.tv/yourspiritu... What does the Bible actually say about speaking in tongues? Few spiritual gifts create more confusion, controversy, and division among Christians. Is speaking in tongues a real language? Is it a heavenly language? Does the gift of tongues still exist today? And what are we supposed to do with some of the strange things we've seen called "speaking in tongues"? In this episode, I go back to Scripture—Acts 2 and 1 Corinthians 12–14—to unpack what the Bible actually teaches about the gift of tongues. We'll talk about: • What the biblical word for “tongues” actually means • Why interpretation matters • Human languages vs. “tongues of angels” • Four warning signs surrounding the misuse of tongues • Whether spiritual gifts like tongues still happen today • Cessationism vs. continuationism • Why no spiritual gift makes you a “higher-level” Christian • Why spiritual gifts were designed to work together • Why LOVE must remain at the center of every gift Don't let strange experiences—or denominational arguments—keep you from understanding the spiritual gifts God has given His Church.
