Pencil Drawing Again After 15 Years | My Korean Art University Exam Story

Hello, I’m YoonKyung. I made 2 pencil drawings for the first time in 15 years, for my application to an art atelier. After six months of teaching myself oil painting, I started to feel the limits of learning alone, so I decided to apply for proper training. Then I found out the application needed two drawings from life… in pencil. The last time I did a pencil drawing was for my art university entrance exam in Korea, 15 years ago. Opening my old high school pencil case brought everything back: the long days of 입시미술 (Korea's art university entrance exam preparation), chocolate cookies and vanilla milk for dinner, practising until 4am, and one snowy night I'll never forget.
