Sky Picnic- Apples and Oranges (Pink Floyd cover)

Sky Picnic Apples and Oranges (Pink Floyd cover) From the Fruits de Mer Records compilation "A Momentary Lapse of Vinyl" It was an honor to get to cover this underrated Syd gem for the venerable Fruits de Mer. As was typically the case, whenever we got asked to contribute a cover song to any sort of compilation, we'd jump at the chance- and also use it as an excuse to record some other stuff (this session also yielded a second Floyd song "Astromony Domine"(unreleased still I think?) as well as "Jack and Jill" which was part of another covers compilation of children's songs via Mea Dodo. As to this song, it was so fun to figure this one out and pay homage to the mighty early Floyd. We kept it mostly by the book, with me even trying to mimic all the guitar and vocal effects. If any lyrics have a British-accent tinge, my American self apologizes for the poor inflections. Chris October 29, 2026
