Fall Beekeeping: Feeding, Mite Treatment & Winter Prep

Fall beekeeping means checking food stores, treating for varroa mites, and making sure the colonies are ready for winter. In this October hive inspection at Kudu Ridge Farm, I’m going through the hives, checking their condition, feeding where needed, and working through fall mite treatment. I’m managing five beehives here in Kentucky, and this time of year is all about giving the bees the best chance possible going into colder weather.
