There are 57 tunnels, 248 bridges and 108 sharp curves. This railway track route was trekker's favourite when trains were not running on this track. This railway track route operated by South Western Railways has thick green vegetation besides rail line. Trains crawl at about 25 km/h over the ghat portion.
