I Left a Camera by the Water... I Never Expected This Tiny Creature to Fight Back

I left a wildlife camera near the water to discover what happens when nobody is around. This time, it captured a confrontation I certainly wasn't expecting. A genet finds a crayfish and appears to have found itself an easy meal. The crayfish has other ideas. It fights back, refuses to cooperate and makes dinner so difficult that the genet eventually gives up. Against all expectations, the little crustacean wins! But this video also captured a much gentler moment. A newborn roe deer, only in the very first hours of its life, begins discovering its surroundings beside its mother — a beautiful glimpse into the beginning of life in the forest. Wild boars, stags, a grey heron and a fox also pass in front of the cameras as life continues day and night. Nothing was staged and the animals were never disturbed — just authentic wildlife behavior captured by hidden cameras.
