Wildlife officials received information about a large wild elephant suffering from an illness and in need of urgent medical attention. Acting immediately, they summoned a wildlife veterinarian and organized a team to administer the necessary treatment. After safely sedating the elephant—which was positioned atop a large rock—the veterinarian and the wildlife team carried out a challenging and high-risk medical procedure. Despite the difficult conditions, the team successfully administered the required treatment and worked towards the elephant's recovery. Once the treatment was concluded and the elephant had regained consciousness, wildlife officials took steps to safely release it back into the wild.
