I’m 37 and my life looks nothing like I imagined

Vlog E2: Five years ago, I left London and moved to Kent. For a while, I wasn't sure I'd made the right decision. I missed my friends, the familiarity of the city and, if I'm honest, I spent a lot of time comparing my new life to the one I had left behind. But somewhere along the way, things changed. In this little birthday vlog, I'm reflecting on self-doubt, FOMO, comparison and the strange feeling of reaching your late 30s and realising that life doesn't always look the way you imagined it would. I'm still working towards some of my biggest dreams. I still want to own a home one day, have a space I can truly make my own and perhaps tick off a few more of those imaginary life milestones. But I'm also learning that a good life isn't just made up of the big things we're constantly working towards. Sometimes it's your friends helping you take your old clothes to the recycling bin. A spontaneous bakery visit. Cheap wine on holiday. A silly joke. A birthday cake while you're wearing a face mask. And maybe learning to appreciate the life you have doesn't mean giving up on the life you still want. If you somehow found yourself on this little corner of the internet, I'm very glad you're here.
