Hello and welcome to Deaf Talks News! Serbia is a country in Eastern Europe. Its capital city is Belgrade. For more than 10 years one man controlled Serbia; his name is Aleksandar Vučić. He was a prime minister from 2014 and later president. In 2024 in the city of Novi Sad, the roof of a railway station suddenly collapsed. 16 people died. People were very angry. They said the government's corruption and carelessness caused this accident. Students take to the streets. Students started protesting. They protested for two years again and again. They asked for honesty, justice and an end to corruption. Slowly teachers, actors and farmers also joined them. From streets to Parliament. The students did something big. They didn't just protest. They formed a group to contest the election. It was called the "Student List". It had 250 candidates, students, teachers, actors and farmers. The result of the student list is about 135, a majority!
