Life in quarantine continues... it's been 3 weeks.
3 weeks ago you could buy toilet paper and cleaning products, grocery stores looked normal, and Amazon could bring you anything you could imagine in 2 days.
This video was made on my phone from isolation with a mix of home-footage, tour footage over the past year (mainly from Japan, of course), and one perfectly serendipitous video I got via WhatsApp of two friends slow dancing on top of their van, perfectly in sync with the song, having never heard it.
There is a Japanese pottery art called “Kintsugi” where the broken pieces are the MOST valuable, because the Japanese in all their surreal wisdom, fill the broken spaces with gold based lacquer. This way, the more broken a piece, the more gold it possesses, and the more valuable it becomes. Sorry for all the broken things right now, may we come out of this more beautiful than before.

history of sorry - lyrics
hold me like you used to do
pull me in close, make me feel used
go on rewind back
to another time when
fuxking me was still brand new
we’re just a melody now, don’t know where it goes
just a melody now, don’t know where it goes
there’s no tellin’
who we are
no history of sorry,
no trust wounds or their scars,
there’s no tellin’
who we are
the futures ours to conquer
i heard the long road has the greatest view
suddenly there’s so much to lose
lives intertwine, taking our youth
we’ve got some shared keys
and responsibilities
there’s always so damn much to do
we’re just a melody now, don’t know where it goes
just a melody now, don’t know where it goes
there’s no tellin’
who we are
no history of sorry,
no trust wounds or their scars,
there’s no tellin’
who we are
the futures ours to conquer
i heard the long road has the greatest view
they say your struggles with your lover are your struggles with yourself
that we choose ourselves in others before anybody else
even if you are just my reflection, i’ve got to say the truth
i can’t imagine anywhere, a better view
