WHAT IS TOP ON YOUR LIST? Wednesday, September 9, 2026

Today's Gospel brings us Luke's version of the Beatitudes. Exegetes call it the Sermon on the Plain unlike the Sermon on the Mountain in Matthew's gospel. Luke is very concerned in his gospel about the poor and the lowly. But there is a clear connection with today's First Reading where St. Paul addresses the people of Corinth with regards to being ready.... Lord Jesus, grant me the grace and the Wisdom not to let the things around me to distract me from Your Love. May I spend my time here on earth preparing for union with You in heaven. Amen
