The Sun King Principle: Why Your Creative Work Keeps Getting Hijacked

What is my Sun King Principle? Why does your creative work constantly get hijacked? I promised the Sun King and here it is. After 5 weeks off air, I'm back — and I want to tell you why I left, what nearly ate me alive, and what I came back with. I got sucked in. Deeply. YouTube, AI, teaching platforms, email sequences, subscription costs spiralling... before I knew it I was serving everyone else's god instead of my own. This video is about the Sun King — a framework I use to stay centred on what I'm actually here to do as an artist — and what happens when I forget it. If you've ever found yourself learning yet another system, paying for yet another subscription, or wondering why your creative work feels like it's shrinking to make room for everything else, this one's for you. I'm an artist and I paint large figurative works from my studio on a farm in South West of Australia. This channel is about the inner life of making — the philosophy, the struggle, the joy, and the discipline of staying true to your creative source. #artistlife #creativeminds #soulmaking #artistvlog #creativephilosophy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CHAPTERS 00:00 Sun King Premise 00:27 Back After A Break 01:38 Overwhelmed By The System 02:14 Teaching Site Rabbit Hole 03:51 Memento Mori Reality Check 05:13 Art And Compromise 05:54 Finding The Creative Flow 07:07 Sun King Pyramid Explained 08:20 Tools Should Serve You 10:44 YouTube Success Trap 13:27 Platforms As Little Gods 14:56 AI Detox And Wrap Up ------------------------------------------------------------------------ DIVE DEEPER INTO THE SOULMAKING UNIVERSE (Videos mentioned in this episode) ➡️ Internal Passion or External Validation?
