This is 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟱 of my 630 mile journey walking the entire South West Coast Path. In this episode I continued north from Boscastle towards Tintagel, following another rugged section of the North Cornwall coast filled with dramatic cliffs, hidden coves and one of my favourite moments on the path so far. The standout for me came in the rocky valley where a waterfall drops into a pool below the path. Naturally, I ended up in it. Getting down to the water is a little awkward and does involve a bit of scrambling, particularly on the way in and out, but if you are comfortable moving over uneven ground it is manageable. That said, do not attempt anything you are not comfortable with. Conditions can change, rocks can be slippery, and there is absolutely no shame in deciding something is not for you. The swim itself though was brilliant. Cold, refreshing and one of those little unexpected moments that turns a good walk into something you properly remember. 🥾 Walking Notes The section between Boscastle and Tintagel continues the rugged character of the North Cornwall coast. There are plenty of climbs and descents, uneven ground and exposed sections, so allow yourself more time than the mileage alone might suggest. There are very few food or drink stops directly on this stretch, so I would recommend carrying enough with you for the walk. 🌊 Waterfall Swim The waterfall in the rocky valley was easily the highlight of this section for me. Access involves a slightly awkward entrance and exit and a little scrambling over uneven ground. If you are confident with that sort of terrain, take your time and move carefully. If you are not comfortable with it, do not force it. The Coast Path will still be there without you having to prove anything to it. 🥪 Bosiney Cove Bosiney Cove makes a lovely place to stop for lunch and break up the walk. However, at the time of filming the footpath is currently closed, so check the latest access information before relying on it as part of your route. 🌐 Explore More Visit the Bimbling Books & Beer website: 👉 https://www.bimblingbooksbeer.co.uk The website continues to grow into a resource for walkers, wild swimmers, campers and anyone wanting to explore Cornwall more intentionally.
