The Ministry of Gender and Culture is exploring efforts to promote skills development among young people, following a visit to the Juakali Project at KRC premises.
The project provides a platform for young girls to acquire practical skills and hands-on experience that could help them improve their livelihoods and become economically independent.
During the visit, the ministry team had an opportunity to learn about the project's activities and its contribution to vocational skills development among young people.
The initiative focuses on equipping girls with practical knowledge that could enable them to pursue employment opportunities, establish small businesses and participate more actively in economic activities.
Skills development initiatives are increasingly important in helping young people build their capacity, particularly in a competitive employment environment where practical experience can open up additional opportunities.
The visit also highlights the importance of collaboration between government institutions and community-based initiatives in promoting vocational training and supporting the empowerment of young girls.
