Inktober Tangles Day 11 — Algae by Kathrin Burmeister Something strange is stirring beneath the surface… 🫧🕸️ For Day 11 of Inktober Tangles 2026, I explored Algae by Kathrin Burmeister for the first time, and it was a wonderfully organic adventure. In my sketchbook, I played with tipple orbs from different algae forms, letting them meet, merge, and get deliciously lost in one another. But for my final Inktober piece, I decided to go with one giant Algae — a curious creation that resembles part flower, part sea creature, part Christmas ornament, and part spiderweb. Rendered in black and white on brown paper, the design comes alive through intricate line-work, graphite and charcoal shading, delicate highlights, and a wonderfully intricate web of curves. The result feels like a mysterious organism discovered in a forgotten underwater kingdom. The process itself was deeply meditative. One line led to another, the forms gradually emerged, and before I knew it, this strange aquatic bloom had taken shape. This drawing felt like a glimpse into a world where nature and imagination intertwine. Stay tuned for the BIG reveal at the end of Inktober! #Inktober2026 #InktoberTangles #Zentangle #Algae #KathrinBurmeister #TheAquarium #Riddhikulus #Inktober #Inktober2026 #InktoberTangles #InktoberChallenge #Zentangle #ZentangleArt #ZentangleMethod #ZentangleInspiredArt #ZentangleDrawing #ZentanglePatterns #ZentangleTangles #ZentangleCommunity #ZentangleMeditation #ZentangleMindfulness #Algae #AlgaeTangle #KathrinBurmeister #OrganicTangles #Tipple #TippleOrbs #OrbDrawing #OverlappingOrbs #InterlockingOrbs #SpiderwebArt #UnderwaterBloom #AquaticArt #GothicBloom #AbstractFloralArt #FlowerMandala #OrnamentalArt #BlackAndWhiteArt #MonochromeArt #BrownPaperArt #GraphiteShading #CharcoalShading #IntricateLineArt #PatternDrawing #MeditativeArt #MindfulDrawing #DrawingProcess #ArtProgression #TheAquarium #CamilleSaintSaens #ClassicalMusic #Riddhikulus Inktober Tangles 2026 1.
