Welcome to Waterways Vineyard! In this sermon we begin our new series “Freed to Live” through the book of Romans. Romans 1:16 sets the theme: the gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. This message explores how the gospel isn’t self-help or good advice—it’s God’s power to transform us. We also look at Romans 3:23 (“all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”) and why every person—Jew and Gentile alike—needs the same rescue. Righteousness isn’t something we achieve; it’s a gift Jesus gives. At the cross, Jesus deals with sin and “clothes” us in His righteousness so we can approach the Father with confidence and live by faith.
