Some graves hold only memory.
*Some graves are still a home.* 🖤⚔️
*HAUGBÚI — THE MOUND-DWELLER* is a dark Nordic song from **Týr’s perspective**, inspired by **Old Norse burial mounds, grave goods, restless dead, and the haugbúi—the mound-dweller who remains within the burial mound**.
The old stories do not always send the dead far away.
Sometimes they remain exactly where they were buried.
Within the mound.
Beside the possessions placed there with them.
Still connected to the grave the living assumed had become silent.
The Old Norse term *haugbúi* literally points us toward that unsettling idea: a **mound-dweller**, one who inhabits the burial mound.
And if the mound is still someone's home—
perhaps the treasure inside is not abandoned.
Perhaps the grave is not empty.
Perhaps the silence does not mean nobody is there.
