Pride of the Pere Marquette: PM 1225 on HOME RAILS

On May 17th, 2026, history was made. Pere Marquette N-1 2-8-4 number 1225 made it's way off of the familiar Great Lakes Central/Ann Arbor mainline and onto a place it once called home. Hosted by Lake State Railways, the 1225 traversed on a long weekend on the former Pere Marquette Saginaw division, it's home rails. Drawing in an incredible crowd for this unforeseen event, the 1225 operated past the classic Chesapeake and Ohio "Searchlight" signals, through the Flint River Bridges, and past the clio depot, none of which have seen proper PM steam since the early 1950s. New River Productions was there to capture this historic event, and a major stepping stone for Lake State, the Steam Railroading Institute's team, and the 1225. Follow us on our other socials!
