House Of Bishops Elects New Masindi Kitara Bishop

The house of bishops of the church of Uganda, on 30th March, elected rev. canon Joshua Kugonza as the third bishop of the diocese of Masindi Kitara. He will be consecrated and enthroned on the 3rd of August 2025 as the 3rd bishop of the diocese. Kugonza is a canon in St. Matthew’s cathedral in Masindi and is married to Allen Kugonza. The house of bishops came to this decision while meeting in Masaka district.
