Bukedi residents accuse church of taking their ancestral land

Nine families in Osupa East Ward, Pallisa Town Council, are living in fear of eviction after accusing the Church of Uganda in Kalaki, under Bukedi Diocese, of taking control of 81 acres of their ancestral land. The families say their grandparents donated only five acres to the church in 1928 for the construction of a church, but allege that the institution later expanded onto their land.
