Some days you don’t feel strong. You’re just tired. You fix one problem, another shows up. You finally get your footing, and something else falls apart. And eventually, hearing “Just keep going” gets exhausting too. *“Built From the Struggle”* is about those days. Not overcoming everything. Not pretending every bad thing happens for some greater reason. Just surviving whatever life decides to throw at you next. There are times when I genuinely don’t know where the energy to keep moving comes from. And I think that’s why one part of this song means so much to me: “Maybe that’s all resilience is. Not some heroic speech. Maybe it’s whispering, ‘Fuck this.’ Then getting up anyway.” Because resilience doesn’t always look impressive. Sometimes your wings aren’t carrying you above the clouds. Sometimes they’re dragging through the dirt. Sometimes you’re angry. Exhausted. Scared of doing all of this again tomorrow. And you still get up. That’s what the dragon represents here. Not something unstoppable. A dragon with damaged wings, almost no fire left, standing in the middle of another storm and thinking: *Seriously? Another one?* And then spreading its wings anyway. I also wanted this song to acknowledge something simple: Sometimes life just fucking sucks. You don’t always need to turn your pain into a lesson. You don’t always need to find a reason. Sometimes making it through today is enough. So if you’re exhausted right now… You don’t have to be fearless. You don’t have to be unbreakable. Take another breath. Another step. Another night.
