North Wales Walks, Ogwen Cottage to Pen-y-Gwryd Hotel via Devil's Kitchen, Glyder Fawr & Glyder Fach

A very strenuous walk from Ogwen Cottage to The Pen-y-Gwryd Hotel via the Devil’s Kitchen, crossing Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach and passing Castell y Gwynt (Castle of the wind). This walk involves some light scrambling, scree paths and navigating an area of rocks and small boulders. Route finding is reasonably good. The downward path is along an old miners track. A good level of fitness is required as well as basic navigation skills. Transport: It is best to park in Betws y Coed and take the T10 bus to Ogwen cottage and return to Betws using S1 Sherpa bus from outside the hotel.
