Disciples of Jesus are not left alone; the Holy Spirit continues Jesus's work in them.

The first disciples were not just individuals following Jesus, but were a learning community—a relational, reflective group being shaped together through dialogue, experience, and shared life with Jesus. The learning continued after Jesus ascended into heaven because of the Holy Spirit who was in them and with them. Like the first disciples we who are now committed followers of Jesus, His disciples, have the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, to help us, empower us, teach us and guide us into Truth. We are also commanded to edify and build one another up, e.g. in Churches in homes and teams.
