Sunrise to Sunset | an ultramarathon trail race against the sun on the Lyke Wake Walk

A film about a solo ultramarathon trail race against the sun on the Lyke Wake Walk on the shortest day of the year. Setting off at sunrise I attempted to run 65km across the North Yorkshire Moors to get to the finish before sunset. During the various Covid imposed lockdowns I found running, unable to escape to the mountains I started running and found it to be the perfect antidote. Slowly over the course of 18 months I was able to increase my speed and distance until I was fairly comfortable completing 30km plus run's in the fells, however I wanted more. Having been hitting my weekly and monthly distance goals I dreamt up a challenge that would keep pushing me to the end of the year, with a final test on my biggest day out ever. This is a film about that day.
