This Is Why Nobody Wants to Play Low Tier Killers

In this Dead by Daylight reaction and commentary video, I’m reacting to a Reddit post from r/dbdkillersunited titled “Thinking you're this cool against a Ghostface btw”. The post features survivors repeatedly teabagging a Ghostface in the exit gate and argues that this kind of behavior is one reason Killers stop trying to play by the so-called “rulebook” and instead resort to stronger Killers, slugging, tunneling, and other strategies. As a longtime Ghostface player, I discuss why this post resonates with Killer mains, especially when playing lower-tier Killers in Dead by Daylight. Ghostface can struggle against strong survivor teams, and certain perk builds, maps, and survivor strategies can make those weaknesses even more apparent. When you're already playing a weaker Killer, being constantly BM'd at the exit gate can make the experience even more frustrating. I also go through the responses to the Reddit post, including players who completely agreed with the original argument and discussions involving survivor mains who attempted to justify the behavior. The bigger question is whether the way survivors treat weaker Killers can actually influence how those Killers choose to play.
