In 1997, Autech took the twin-turbo RB26DETT from the R33 Skyline GT-R and installed it in Nissan's family wagon. The Stagea Autech Version 260RS kept its five-speed manual, Brembo brakes, forged BBS wheels and Super HICAS — and became the only production car outside the GT-R line to receive that engine. This video follows the decision: why Nissan approved it, what exactly was shared with the GT-R, and why the wagon kept this hardware alone after the R33 GT-R ended production in late 1998. A Japanese-market story, told with the factory record.
