In Jaba City, Cord and Blair try to get Jake out of prison, but they are intercepted by The General. Cord manages to knock him out, and Cord leaves with Jake while Blair distracts another guard. She is briefly waylaid by the guard who wants to know if she has American cigarettes, but she is able to talk her way past him.
Asa consults a lawyer who tells him the statute of limitations on fraud is ten years. Meanwhile, Max talks to Paula, who acknowledges the statute of limitations is a problem, but she says Max can still sue Asa, for probably about 15 million dollars.
LeeAnn admires her man and says Luna never gave her opinion of Max.
Viki and Clint move back into a refurbished Llanfair. Jessie and Joey are relieved to have both parents home, safe and sound. The place isn’t quite done, it turns out, as Tina is in the middle of redecorating the library (Viki and Clint are skeptical). Bo and Cassie bring Viki a pair of crystal candlesticks as a house re-warming gift.
Herb reads Dorian the laundry list of possible charges against her. Dorian plans Cassie’s wedding–really more like her own dream wedding–but Herb reminds her it’s Cassie’s to plan, not hers.
Viki offers to plan Cassie and Bo’s wedding and host it at Llanfair. Bo and Cassie gratefully accept. Elsewhere, Alex tries on outfits and tells a saleswoman she’s looking for something to wear to a wedding.
Jake, Cord, and Blair wait in a bar for Hasim to meet them. Cord lets slip that Megan is in the hospital, and Jake finds a phone and tries calling her, but the line is engaged.
Luna consults Max’s star chart and discovers she and Max are perfectly compatible. The only trouble is that he’s with LeeAnn.
Asa summons Jon to discuss the case. Jon says he doesn’t want any part of it. Asa says Max got a subpoena for the deed, which he claims he does not possess (though he does, and was looking at it earlier). He wants Jon to defend him and tell a judge he can’t produce a document he doesn’t have.
LeeAnn goes to see Nigel to try and enlist him in helping her find the deed. He is, as usual, noncommittal. She later pleads with Renee to convince Asa to make things right. Renee says Asa insists he doesn’t have a copy and she has no evidence to the contrary. But meanwhile, as Nigel dusts in the study, he is very quickly able to locate the document in question, stashed inside a cutout section of a book on one of Asa’s shelves.
Jake finally gets through to Megan and he promises he’ll be home soon. Unfortunately the connection cuts out after that.
