One Life to Live 11/22/1991

As they continue to wait for Hasim, Jake questions whether this guy can actually be trusted. When Cord steps away, Jake issues a warning to Blair: he sees the way she looks at Cord, and she’d better watch herself. Megan insists she’s going home, even though Larry advises against it. Andrew offers to drive her home. While she’s getting ready, Andrew asks Larry if everything is all right. Dorian asks Jason if he can be the photographer for Cassie’s wedding, but he tells her he’s already been hired for the occasion, at Llanfair. All of this comes as unwelcome news to Dorian. LeeAnn insists she’s not trying to get back at Asa; she’s just trying to get what’s fair for Max and Al. Renee says if LeeAnn really cares about Max and Al, she’ll convince Max to drop this. LeeAnn says she saw Wingate’s letter, so she knows Max is telling the truth. Tina and Cassie welcome Megan home to Llanfair. Luna gets a gift basket with no card; Wanda posits she must have a secret admirer. Max tells her it’s from him, as a thank you for finding Wingate’s letter. Renee confronts Asa about the letter Wingate wrote to Max. Dorian visits Llanfair and asks Cassie to wear her wedding dress, but Cassie rejects the offer. Cord finally gets a call from Hasim to set a meeting. But unbeknownst to Cord, Hasim set the meetup while the General held him at gunpoint. Tina has a dream, casting herself in the Humphry Bogart role in a Casablanca-type cafe. In place of Victor and Elsa, Cord and Blair (a married couple, in the dream) ask Tina for her help. All the while, As Time Goes By plays in the background. Asa goes to Wanda’s Cafe to see LeeAnn hoping to discern the contents of Max’s letter from Wingate. LeeAnn says she still can’t be bought off, but Asa says he can ride out a long trial while Max can afford about 15 minutes of legal fees. LeeAnn says no matter what happens in the trial, Asa will still be the lonely old man he is now. Andrew tries to convince Cassie to believe her mother didn’t conspire with Alex, or failing that, to forgive her mother. Cord, Blair, and Jake meet Hasim and discover they’ve been ambushed by the General.
