A Calico & Orange Kitten Depend On Each Other, But Trust Takes Time

They are a pair of sibling stray kittens, around 4 months old. I’ve spotted them wandering together these days. Sadly, their mom is nowhere to be found. They only have each other to rely on in this big, scary world. I tried to get close to the orange kitten many times, but it ran away every single time. The calico was also cautious at first. Driven by the smell of treats, they slowly worked up the courage to come near and eat together. It’s such a precious little step for them. Even after eating, the calico is still too shy to be petted. Trust cannot be rushed. I will keep showing up, and wait patiently for the day they fully trust me.
