Camera setup by Sophie Adenot Original timelapse by Riccardo Rossi (ISAA - Italian Space and Astronautics Association) - CC-BY 4.0 License - Raw photos courtesy of the Earth Science and Remote Sensing Unit, NASA Johnson Space Center http://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/ ID from ISS075-E-202049 to ISS075-E-204834 Music: The Lunar Ascent by The Golden Moons - CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 License - https://www.jamendo.com/track/2035570... Using about 2,800 photographs taken from the International Space Station by Sophie Adenot last September 30, we created this #timelapse. This is a flyover of the #ISS from the southwestern coasts of Africa to the Russian Far East. In the sequence, you can appreciate the great lakes of Central Africa, followed by a crystal-clear view of both the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the Strait of Hormuz. The view gradually becomes more obscured by clouds as we move deeper into East Asia. The video covers a 47 minutes time span and is therefore sped up about 15 times compared to the actual speed of the Station. ---------------- The AstronautiCAST YouTube channel is run by passionate volunteers on an unpaid basis.
