Always do things in order | Ladder Puzzle | We Were Here Together

Written Guide This puzzle is timed, so do not start it until both players are ready. Player 1 goes into the well but should not turn the valve yet. Turning the valve starts the puzzle, fills the well with water, and begins rotating the ladder. Player 2 goes to the compass-like gear console that controls the ladder rotation. In Player 1’s room, certain ladder sections are marked with symbols, and the compass above the well shows which direction each symbol matches: NE = Sun E = Moon SW = Polaris / Bright Star W = Three Stars NW = Saturn SE = Comet (not used) Player 2 must connect gears from the center to the correct compass direction to rotate the ladder into place. Prepare the first one before Player 1 turns the valve. Use this order: NW — Saturn W — Three Stars NE — Sun SW — Polaris / Bright Star E — Moon Player 1 should call out when the ladder is one section before alignment, and Player 2 should stop the rotation there by blocking the gears or removing a moving cog. As the water rises, Player 1 must keep climbing to avoid drowning. Repeat this process in order until Player 1 can escape the well.
