Ever wondered what it's like to kayak around a WWII submarine? Join me as I explore the eerie beauty of the USS Ling, a historical vessel now resting in the murky depths of the Hackensack River in New Jersey. I'll paddle through the river, getting up close and personal with this underwater giant. From its imposing hull to the mystery of its unknown future, this adventure is sure to be unforgettable. This adventure doesn't stop there! I travel to Coney Island Creek in Brooklyn, New York to explore the Quester I submarine for a second time. This one-of-a-kind, homemade vessel, built by a shipyard worker, is a local legend that I was excited to get back to. I cooked a special lunch before heading back out onto the water. Lower tides and a new launch location at Kaiser Park allowed us to see more of this amazing piece of history. Grab your paddle and put on your PFD's because this is a fun one!
Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions of where you'd like to see me go in the future!
