These lyrics were originally drafted back in 2022 as lyrics to The Dark Truth from Chapter 2. That cover, while scrapped, was my first time dealing with many singers and arranging harmony. Since then, I've improved at it so much, and I'm really proud of what that old draft ended up being. I originally turned it into Dark Place with it being a standalone video in mind, but was scared of bad performance. I put it in the Titan Suite, slightly apprehensive that some people wouldn't care about such an emotional and slow song being the opener... but I'm very happy to have been proven wrong. Dark Place received a LOT of praise in the Titan Suite. Not least due to the beautiful singing of Maiden and everyone in the chorus, and the wonderful art Kishey drew for it. Thank you all.
