Quelling the Rebellion is the 2nd scenario in the Suryavarman I campaign, with the goal to destroy all four enemies present on the map to win the scenario.
Before the strategy, it's worth mentioning that Purple just has some military locked away at the back of one of Yellow's bases and Red has no economy but has military buildings (I don't know if they're functional without resources, but it just helps to know, but it does mean they can't repair or build new buildings....), so it can essentially be a 2v1 if you act quick enough. The enemy buildings are controlled by a tower or castle in each base that will join your cause once they are destroyed (there are nine in total so nine bases to knock out), so going for them is advisable instead of wasting time on other military buildings.
With that said, the strategy should be to quickly raise an army, get a few upgrades and rush Red as quick as possible to limit their influence before the other two armies start coming to attack you. This scenario is tough as well as you need a lot of different unit types, so make sure to read the "Scout" tab to figure out the unit specific counters for each enemy.
The start demands a lot of actions, in the south, queue villagers onto berries, wood and then erect a castle over the stone in the southern base and build a few walls with the trees to safeguard that area, that will help defend your economy until it's stronger later and help set up securing the gold in the east later on.
You'll need a monk or two for the relics next to your monastery. Fire ships should be queued and set to defensive near your dock to stall the naval advance and another town center should be a little north of your starting castle near the wood there (or another similar safe place).
While doing that, your army needs to march north-east (keep the scorpions at home, they are too slow out in the open) and destroy the first tower. Try and grab some scout cavalry, knights or elephants, as they will counter everything Red has. Rams are a must as elephants aren't durable enough and you can't advance to the Imperial age.
Continue to the Northern corner to take out the castle and then across the bridge to knock out the last remaining Red camp. This should at least secure the gold up north and will allow you more options to attack Orange's bases. Once they are eliminated the scenario should get a little easier with more map control and less pressure.
From here, I'd recommend focussing down each Orange camp, preferably leaving the one in the eastern corner last as it's well defended. Defenses around the map should still be holding, but will probably be damaged, so take a bit of time to reinforce those areas with any stone you get. Towers along the coastline will stall the navy, while add in gates around your initial case base and/or another castle if you have the spare stone.
Once Orange is eliminated, you control most of the map and gold and you can take your time eliminating Yellow and Purple. Once all four enemies are eliminated, victory is yours!
Your enemies:
Northern Rebels (Red): Located to the north and northeast. Their army consist of Crossbowmen, Light Cavalry, Mangonels, and War Galleys. Once all of their Castles and Towers are destroyed, they will surrender their remaining military buildings to the player.
Eastern Rebels (Orange): Located at the middle, near east, and easternmost of the map. Their army consist of Battle Elephants, Ballista Elephants, Monks, and War Galleys. Once all of their Castle and Towers are destroyed, they will surrender their remaining military buildings to the player.
Jayaviravarman's Army (Yellow): Located at the southwest, south, and southeast. Their army consist of Long Swordsmen, Pikemen, Battle Elephants, Karambit Warriors, Battering Rams, and War Galleys.
Jayaviravarman (Purple): Located to the south, inside Jayaviravarman's Army base. They have no buildings, but have a small army of Halberdiers, Two-Handed Swordsmen, Imperial Skirmishers, and Monks.
Counter Red with scouts, knights (preferred) and battle elephants.
Counter Orange with scouts, pikemen and skirmishers, some men at arms in large numbers will help destroy buildings if rams are too slow.
Counter Yellow with pikemen, archers and ballista elephants.
Purple has a small army, but archers and ballista elephants will be fine to eliminate them. For your navy, only produce fire ships, there's not much point to building the others navy types.
