Southwest Idaho: I-84 West (Boise to Twin Falls)

#idaho #mustwatch #hiking #travel #exploreidaho In today’s episode, we will drive southeast on I-84 from Boise (Exit 49) to Exit 173 at Twin Falls. This journey covers 124 miles of I-84. A separate video covers I-84 East from Twin Falls to the Utah State Line. The interstate generally follows the iconic Snake River east then southeast from Hammett to Twin Falls. We will visit the towns of Mountain Home, Glenns Ferry, Bliss, Hagerman, Wendell, and Jerome. And, of course, we will take lots of photos. We will explore the Snake River, the Malad Gorge, the Hagerman Fossil Beds, . We will explore several buttes on the Snake River Plain and some peaks in the Boise Mountains. We will also visit Lucky Peak Lake. So bring your hiking boots, your river raft (or kayak), your ATV, and your fishing gear!
