Firmtech A by Agrosta is a fruit firmness tester designed for berries and small soft fruits.

Our Agrosta Firmtech A, designed in 2026, is our latest automatic testing machine for soft fruit and berries. It combines unrivalled precision, to within 0.002 millimetres and 0.2 grams, with exceptional ease of use. It runs connected to a PC, with Windows-based software that exports your data to Excel. The machine can be used either in Firmtech mode, giving results in grams per millimetre, or as a low-capacity, high precision penetrometer, up to three kilograms, for testing strawberries, for example. The Firmtech function is designed for small soft fruit, such as cherry tomatoes, grapes, cherries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. The machine provides statistics and a scatter plot, with readings taken eighty times per second as pressure is applied to the fruit. It is a state-of-the-art machine, connected by USB and automatically recognised by the software.
