Something Lives Inside the Walls of Their Free New House | His House Recap

His House (2020) full movie recap. Bol and Rial Majur escape war-torn South Sudan, survive a terrifying sea crossing to England, and are finally released from detention as asylum seekers. The government gives them a run-down council house on a rough estate, plus strict rules: seventy-four pounds a week, no work, and they can never leave the address they were given. Break one rule and they go straight back. The house is filthy, the lights never work, and on the first night Bol hears humming, whispers and footsteps inside the walls. When he tears the wallpaper open with his bare hands, the hollow behind it is far deeper than any wall should be. Rial hears voices calling her closer, while the town outside treats them like strangers. Trapped between a past they cannot outrun and a home they are forbidden to leave, the couple must face what is really haunting them.
