This episode walks backward through six layers of time buried underneath one of the most photographed places on Earth: a 1969 engineering experiment that drained the American Falls down to bare rock, the destruction of the Neutral Nation in 1651, a burial mound raised near Lewiston around 160 CE, a copper trade network that reached this river around 2500 BCE, a five-thousand-year stretch when the falls carried only a tenth of today's flow, and the exact moment, 12,500 years ago, when retreating glacial ice first let this river exist at all. Every claim is sourced inline; every inference is labeled as inference. No invented dialogue, no on-camera experts, no fabricated names for prehistoric individuals. All visuals are either labeled stock footage or AI-generated reconstructions, marked as such on first appearance.
