The Law of the Spirit of Life 생명의 성령의 법 Lyrics by Pastor Mi-kyeong Jang 작사 장미경 목사 [Verse 1] The gate of Eden was closed, 에덴의 문이 닫히고 And the way to the tree of life was blocked. 생명 나무로 가는 길이 막힌 뒤 We were faced with more than the death of the body; 우리는 몸의 죽음만이 아니라 Our souls made death their home 혼은 사망을 집으로 삼아 And returned to it. 돌아가네 [Verse 2] When the heavy law of sin and death 죄와 사망의 무거운 법이 Held my body and bound my heart, 내 몸을 붙들고 내 마음 묶고 Leading me down the dark road of death, 어두운 죽음의 길로 이끌 때 God sent His Son to us. 하나님은 우리에게 아들을 보내셨네 [Verse 3] In the likeness of sinful flesh, 죄 아래 놓인 육신의 모양으로 Christ came and dwelt among us. 우리 가운데 오신 그리스도 He did not submit to the law of the flesh, 육신의 법에 굴복하지 않으시고 But at last He broke 마침내 끊으셨네 The chains of condemnation. 정죄의 쇠사슬을 [Chorus] It is not I who hold on to life; 내가 생명을 붙드는 것이 아니라 It is eternal life that holds on to me. 영원한 생명이 나를 붙드시네 It is not I who make my own way; 내가 길을 만들어 가는 것이 아니라 The Holy Spirit leads me 성령께서 나를 On the path of life. 생명의 길로 이끄시네 [Verse 4] In Him, death was no longer 그분 안에서 죽음은 더 이상 The final name given to us. 우리의 마지막 이름이 아니었네 The One who rose from among the dead, 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나신 분 The Lord of resurrection, 부활의 주님 Now dwells within us. 우리 안에 거하시니 [Bridge] Being born again is not 거듭남은 Me making myself new; 내가 나를 새롭게 하는 게 아니라 It is God giving me 하나님께서 내 안에 The Spirit of His Son within me. 아들의 영을 주시는 일 It is the Spirit of life 생명의 성령께서 Leading me by the Spirit of the Son. 아들의 영을 이끄시는 일 [Chorus] It is not I who hold on to life; 내가 생명을 붙드는 것이 아니라 It is eternal life that holds on to me. 영원한 생명이 나를 붙드시네 It is not I who make my own way; 내가 길을 만들어 가는 것이 아니라 The Holy Spirit leads me 성령께서 나를 On the path of life. 생명의 길로 이끄시네 [Final / Outro] You who have received the Spirit of the Son 그리스도 예수 안에서 아들의 영을 받은 자여 In Christ Jesus, 그리스도 예수 안에서 Death cannot swallow you, 죽음이 당신을 삼킬 수 없고 And sin cannot be your master. 죄가 당신의 주인이 될 수 없습니다 You are born again 다시 태어나네 By the law of the Spirit of life. 생명의 성령의 법으로 The body dies, 몸은 죽고 And the soul, through repentance, 혼은 회개함으로 Fades away of itself. 스스로 자취를 감추지만 But in Christ, 그리스도 안에서 We become children of God, 하나님의 아들이 되어 Receiving the Spirit of God's Son, 하나님의 아들의 영을 받아 And by the law of the Spirit of life, 생명의 성령의 법으로 We are raised to life again. 다시 살아나네
