Did One Prompt Really Teach This Robot Duck to Walk?

Four Microduck robots waddled onto the stage at NVIDIA's GTC Berlin keynote, and NVIDIA said an AI agent on a laptop trained them. Did a single prompt really teach a duck to walk? We checked the demo video and the source documents one by one. We cover what the Microduck is (25 cm tall, 800 g) and the family tree that runs from Disney's BDX droid to Open Duck Mini. We explain, with pictures, what it means that the walk is "a policy that reads 61 numbers and picks 14, 50 times a second." Then reinforcement learning with 4,096 ducks falling over on a virtual floor, the cheats hiding in the score sheet, and sim-to-real with motors and backlash. We walk through what Hermes Agent, Nemotron and GPT-6 Astra actually did in the demo, step by step.
