Elden Ring: Volcano Manor, First Contract & Godskin Noble - Episode 32

Hi everyone, it’s me, FacelessNobody. I invite you to sit next to me and play Elden Ring together - one of my favorite games. I’ve already beaten this game a few times, so I can share some tips with you during our journey. In this episode, we explore the Volcano Manor area and try to find our way to Praetor Rykard himself. We start by opening the doors we can unlock with the key provided by Lady Tanith. Besides two rooms, we also open the main hall, where we meet a few familiar faces: Mr. Diallos and Lady Rya, who is glad to see us, but also a little upset that she wasn’t the one who led us to this place. I’m still not sure why she didn’t meet us near the Grand Lift. We also meet a new guy who is kind enough to sell us some Ashes of War. After that, we go to our room and find a hidden wall, which eventually leads us to a church with a Site of Grace, and from there, we can continue our exploration of the manor. After exploring the area a little bit, we decide to go and get the map fragment, because it’s hard to understand which grace belongs to which location without it. So we pick up the map and decide to explore the lower path a little further. On our way, we fight an Ulcerated Tree Spirit, who gives us a very important tear for mage boss fights. After that, we jump onto the bridge and get invaded by Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater, who gives us her Butchering Knife after we defeat her. Then we reach the nearest Site of Grace and return to Volcano Manor. Back in the manor area, we continue our journey and witness one of the most cinematic moments in the game - the bridge rising by itself. Truly a breathtaking moment. After that, we move forward and fight the Godskin Noble. We already fought one before during Ranni’s questline, so at least we know what kind of pain to expect. Once that is done, we return to the manor and meet our old friend. if you can call a man who keeps trying to trick you to death a friend. Patches. We also speak with a spirit who tells us that he left his spear in Rykard’s arena. After noticing that we don’t have any new dialogue with our friends in the hall, we decide to fulfill one of Volcano Manor’s contracts and go kill the target. He gives us his armor set afterward, but sadly, that doesn’t help much with progressing the manor conversations. Except for Lady Tanith giving us an incantation as a reward and a new order, we don’t get much new dialogue.
