Can We Fix This? Detroit Renovation Day 6 Progress Report - (part 3)

DAY 6 OF THE RENOVATION! Things don't always go according to plan when you're renovating a house—and this project just threw us another curveball! In Part 3 of our new house flip, we continue renovating this 4-bedroom, 1-bathroom, 1,700-square-foot house on Day 6 of the renovation. We're making progress, but we run into an unexpected problem that could seriously affect our plans for the kitchen. First, I head over to the RePurpose store to look for an exterior front door for the house. Then we discover that a wall that was torn down contained ductwork that I didn't know was there. 😳 The problem? I wanted to open up that wall to make the kitchen bigger and more open, but now we have to figure out how to reroute or remedy the ductwork without ruining the kitchen layout. This is the reality of flipping houses and renovating older homes—you can have a plan going into a project, but once the walls start coming down, you never know what you're going to find!
