Maragatham Kumaravel and Sathyabama, the candidates fielded by the Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in these two constituencies, have emerged victorious. Commenting on this victory, Chief Minister Vijay stated that this is a victory granted by the people—one that was not bought with money—and emphasized that it is a victory for the people, not for any single individual. However, during the election campaign, reports and visuals surfaced indicating that the AIADMK, DMK, and TVK had all distributed money to voters in both constituencies. On the other hand, there are claims that the TVK's victory was the result of tampering with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and that the party and Chief Minister Vijay do not actually enjoy public support.
