Yesterday was launch day for Faces of Cancer, and I'm still trying to take it all in. This morning, the book was: #5 in New Releases in Breast Cancer #6 in New Releases in Cancer My publisher told me last night that it had reached the Top 100 New Releases in at least six categories. And yes, that is exciting. Really exciting. ❤️ But as I went for my walk this morning, I realized that the numbers aren't actually what I'm having such a hard time wrapping my head around. People are reading my words. They're sharing sentences that meant something to them. They're telling me they felt seen. They're telling me they understand someone they love a little differently after reading it. For someone who has spent a lot of her life wondering whether there was a place for her voice, I don't quite have words for what that feels like. So I'm not sharing these rankings because I suddenly think the numbers are what make this book matter. I'm sharing them because every one of those numbers represents a person who picked up something I wrote. And that still feels unbelievable to me. Thank you. Truly. ❤️ God is the anchor. Hope is the thread. Thanks for watching!
