2027 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports Review — Smarter, Smoother, More Capable The Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports has always promised big-mile comfort with the spirit of a rally bike. For 2027, Honda is sharpening that formula with a lower center of gravity, upgraded suspension, and a major technology boost. But the real question is: do these changes make this adventure tourer even more convincing on the road and beyond it? The familiar 270-degree parallel-twin character remains, with revised internal components designed to handle increased power and torque. Honda has also updated the transmission, clutch, and engine electronics. Six riding modes—Sport, Touring, Urban, Rain, Off-Road, and Off-Road Plus—let riders tailor the bike to changing conditions, while adjustable throttle response and seven levels of traction control add flexibility. The chassis is where the 2027 model makes a major statement. A revised frame and lighter swingarm work with a fuel sub-tank beneath the seat to lower the center of gravity. The result is a package engineered for better balance and more confident handling. New 49-millimeter Showa forks and standard electronically controlled suspension with Honda Skyhook technology continuously adjust damping to help maintain stability and comfort. Braking and control are also upgraded, with electronically controlled combined ABS and Vehicle Hold Control. The 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels are fitted with tubeless tires, giving riders a practical setup for touring and rough-road exploration. For long-distance comfort, Honda adds an electrically adjustable windscreen, revised seat padding, heated grips, cruise control, and a new infotainment system featuring a 7-inch TFT touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 24.2-liter fuel capacity supports a claimed range of around 480 kilometers. The standout new option is Honda SENSING RIDE, which uses front and rear radar to offer features such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot information, and collision warnings.
