Adventure Day 2. The long one. Early alarms. Big views. Proper reward. From the drop into the Umkomaas Valley to the flowing magic of Yankee Doodle and Sosiba’s Section, it was a day of wide eyes and steady pacing. River crossings, wooden bridges, game farms and that build-up to Iconic that tests legs and partnership in equal measure. Some climbed it clean. Some walked with pride. All earned the view from the top. Then the roll through Highflats and the final neutral stretch into Jolivet, tired but smiling. Long. Honest. Scenic. Proper Adventure.
